Here we discuss the potential of new media to convey religious concepts and pc games are mentioned as a case study. New media enjoying some certain characteristics such as high level of interaction, potential for engagement in narrative construction and progress and social presence, can make a good relationship with users. Thus, in new media studies these characteristics are emphasized. So, this research tends to discuss pc games through different perspective and emphasizes on how pc games – enjoying the virtual space characteristics – provide a situation for participation in ideological system and present norms and values in interactional context, rather than focusing on the games’ contents. We, also, discuss the learning process in such games which is through the “learning as performance” and “living in designed experience”. PC games in particular and new media in general, use interaction and narrative and focus on frameworks to present religious concepts and their roots; thus, they can be applied for conveying religious concepts.

In fact, living without media is very hard nowadays, as media have been old friends for individuals and in some cases, the best source of information. A long with information function, media sometimes educate individuals and promote the society which is under its control. In order to educate the society, maybe the coordination of media with clergies’ role – as spiritual teachers of the society - act as a milestone so that their interaction (Media and Clergies) grew as much as possible. If a technologically informed clergy utilizes this critical tool (media) – considering the necessity of media recognition and adequate production – we can expect that technology is applied for religious promotion in its best way and it helped clergies to fulfill their goals.

This study discusses about the Quranic basics of limbo manifestation in cinema based on the case study of Malakout; this series was broadcasted through the 2 Channel of IRIB, Ramadan 1389. Conceptual mega-structure of the celestial in the context of limbo and angel manifestations has been the main subject of the film. This is an analytical-descriptive research based on case study, semiotics and documentary research using Quranic foundations of Limbo and interpretive ideas and narrative as the theoretical framework. We applied semiotics into all parts of the series which somehow manifest an aspect of limbo; thus the paper discusses the series success in manifesting the truth of limbo and its convergence with Islamic teachings. The results show an appropriate level of convergence with Quranic basics. This paper wishes to underline the positive points based on Quran and present Quranic solutions to avoid its negative points and also, present a comprehensive introduction to representation of limbo so that new horizons maybe opens upon supernatural and meaning-oriented art. Furthermore, an explanation of the theoretical foundation of “Coma” world in convergence with Islamic ontology and its visual representation has been done in this paper for the first time – as long as the author knows.

Modern Information technology has changed the social conditions by which political and religious authority are produced. Information society is not easily regulated either by governments that cannot control the flow of information on TV channels, newspapers, text-messages or the Internet, or by traditional religious leaders who might want to impose some control over the content of the media. In this sense, multimedia entertainment and communication systems challenge both the print-based authority of secular governments and the traditional authority of the world religions. The central contradiction of the knowledge society is that governments and corporations embrace an ideology of the free flow of information while simultaneously trying to control information through patents and intellectual property laws, and by attempting to control spam, hackers and electronic viruses.Authority over the contents and meaning of knowledge and information becomes a critical issue of modern politics.
